Dua Lipa (born in London) is an English musician and singer who was born on August 22 1995 in London United Kingdom. Dua Lipa signed to Warner Bros Records in 2014 after working as a model and dropped her debut album, self-titled in 2017. The album climbed to number. 3 on the U.K. Charts. There were eight singles released including Be the 1 I.D.G.A.F. and New Rules. In the United States it peaked as sixth in the charts. Lipa's album, which is now been certified platinum in a variety of countries around the world has won the two Brit Awards (in the year of 2018) for British Female Solo Artist, and British Breakthrough act. She is the daughter of Kosovo Albanian parents Anesa Rexha and Dukagjin Lipa. By virtue of her maternal grandmother, she has Bosnian descent. Her ancestry can be traced back to Peja, a city in Kosovo. The Lipa's grandparents are historians. Gjin along with Rina are her sisters. Lipa began to learn how guitar playing as well as sing under the guidance of her dad Oda. Oda is the leader singer/guitarist for Kosovan's band Oda. She was influenced by her father's music, which included his original compositions, as well as songs like David Bowie Bob Dylan Radiohead Stereophonics Stereophonics. Lipa began singing around the age of five. At the age of nine years old, she began singing at the Sylvia Young Theater School.
