Amanda Brugel

Pointe Claire (February 27, 2010 (February 27, 2010) Toronto ON). Pointe Claire is a small neighborhood that is located on the West Island, which is part of Montreal's island. Many people unfamiliar with the word tend to think it's a separate island somewhere west of Montreal however, this part of West Island is home to everything from Lachine west to the Lachine city. Lachine west. Amanda Brugel grew up on the island and is often referred to as her birthplace. But she only stayed there for a short time. Brugel was raised in Courtice near Oshawa, Ontario. Her early ambition was to be a dancer but an increase in her height resulted in her outgrowing the dancers she was with. In an article published by the Toronto Star that she is 6'1" tall, even when she wears heels. After I outgrew the male partners, I quit. The Brugel is one of the former dancers that turned to acting. Her teacher from high school was the one who pushed her to take the next step. The teacher who suggested she take on a part in the annual school production. The student tried it out, and eventually got the leading role for the role in Anne of Green Gables. She was awarded an Fine Arts Talent Scholarship to go to York University's Theatre Program which she completed in 2000 with a degree of Bachelor's in Fine Arts. Through the years since Brugel has been offered roles in more than 60 productions on small and big screens. She attracted the most attention when she landed the part as Rita in the award-winning television series The Handmaid's Tale (pictured below). Brugel made an appearance on only a handful of instances in the initial season of the series The Handmaid's tale. She was the sole Canadian participant.
